Phil Hawkes-Teeter called the meeting to order at 12:50 am noting that there was a quorum present including Kathy Fisher, Eric Hamilton, Sue Hawkes-Teeter, Martin Hawkes-Teeter, Bob Lange, Janet Tryson, Glen Tryson.
Phil opened nominations saying that current president, himself; vice president Bob Reed; and treasurer Janet Tryson had agreed to serve another year. Eric Hamilton volunteered to be secretary. Bob Lange moved that nominations be closed and we accept the slate, Sue Hawkes-Teeter second, carried unanimously.

Treasurers report was circulated including a balance sheet for the last 5 years. Janet Tryson reports that there is $7,437.22 of which $5000 will be used to repay the balance of the USOF map loan by the end of the calendar year. Sue Hawkes-Teeter moved the report be accepted, Bob Lange second, carried.
Membership dues structure and meet fees were reviewed and discussed. Consensus resulted in the dues becoming $10 for individual, $14 for couple, and $18 for family. Likewise meet fees were set at $5 for members; $8 for non-members with a maximum $13 for member family and $20 maximum for non-member family. White course will be $5 as an incentive for novices. Scout O will be $4 a map.
Phil reported that the revised certificate of incorporation has been forwarded to the Secretary of State for filing. We cannot submit a request to IRS for a 501(c)(3) until the corporate papers are on file. Once we obtain not-for-profit status with IRS then we can obtain sponsorships.
Phil said that we should continue to encourage additional local meet directors.
Long range major event proposals were discussed including an "A" meet next spring at Camp Pinnacle and Thacher Park. Glen Tryson has started course planning. Bob Lange volunteered to work on a meet logo design. The US Ski O Championships in January or February of 2007 is planned, even though the 2005 championships will be held this coming season. A 6 to 8 hour Rogaine is planned for the summer of 2007 and the North American or US Championships will be held at Moreau in the fall of 2008. It was noted that e-punches would be needed for the later, but plans to purchase a starter set are deferred to after the 2006 "A" meet.
Mapping efforts continue: Thacher map is complete, but needs a few corrections. Camp Pinnacle mapping is planned for the clinic the weekend of September 22 through 25. Aerial photos have been taken of Partridge Run and Moreau Lake. Sue Hawkes-Teeter is working on access to land adjacent and east of Norray Farm. Other possible new maps include Salmon Hills (north of Syracuse), Pine Ridge Cross Country ski center, and Eric Hamilton will investigate the Dwaaskill Preserve, a large tract of land recently purchased by the Town of Clifton Park across the street from, and north of Kinns Park.
Assignments for the spring "A" meet at Thacher Park/Camp Pinnacle were discussed: meet director will be Phil Hawkes-Teeter; Glen Tryson, course setter; Janet Tryson, registrar; Bill Jameson, Vetter; control placement, Glen, Bill, and Phil; lodging and meals, Sue Hawkes-Teeter; the Reeds, starts; JJ & Co, finish; and Bob Lange, results. More road crossing guards will be needed. More planning meetings will be held.
Being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 2 pm.
