CAMP PINNACLE REGISTRATION

CAMP PINNACLE ACCOMMODATIONS  MUST  BE ARRANGED THROUGH EMPO.

Camp Pinnacle is a privately owned church camp adjacent to Thacher Park. It is less than 4 miles (driving distance) from the Day 1 parking, is the Day 2 meet site, and offers very reasonably priced accommodations for campers or those who wish to stay in a heated dorm. The dorms are arranged with 8 bunk beds in each room, with shared men's and women's dorm-style shower/bathrooms in the hallway. Bedding and towels are available as a linen package for $5 per person per night, or bring your own. Meals are included in the dorm lodging price (beginning with buffet dinner; breakfast, and bag lunch), and rooms are available for either one or two nights. Campers may purchase meal packages (3 meals per day, for one or two nights).

A club or other group that wishes to reserve all 8 spots in one room is permitted to do so as long as full rooms are still available; reserve early for best results. If a group has fewer than 8 people we will still try to honor your request but reserve the right to assign additional people to your room as needed to fill all beds, or assign rooms by male/female if there are insufficient rooms to do otherwise. To be sure your group is registered together it would be helpful to send all room registrations together as a package, with a check to cover the total price based on the number of adults and children in the room.

Please note that no alcoholic beverages are allowed on Camp Pinnacle premises. Smoking is not permitted in the buildings, and is discouraged on the Camp Pinnacle campus. The food is excellent and plentiful, the accommodations are "on the map," and the closest motel is 25-30 minutes away!

Calculate total charges on this form, and list under Other on USOF standard entry form. Send a copy of the form with your entry and a check covering the total cost. If using online registration, put a note in the Notes box to call it to the attention of the registrar (such as "accommodations form attached"). Print this form, complete it, and add the total below to the total on the online registration confirmation.

If you have any questions about the Meal and/or Accommodations packages, or to find out if rooms are still available, contact Sue Hawkes-Teeter, sueht [at] nycap [dot] rr [dot] com; 518-872-1993 (before 9 pm, please).

Saturday dinner may be purchased separately. It will be served from 6:30 – 7:30 pm and includes at least one meat entree, a pasta entree, a vegetable/salad, homemade bread, dessert and beverages. The Camp Pinnacle dinner received rave reviews from orienteers at the October 2004 A-meet held at Thacher Park.

For those not staying at Camp Pinnacle and not purchasing a meal plan, indicate your choices for Saturday dinner on the online registration form. If you are using the standard USOF entry form, indicate how many adult/child dinners on line 9 and put the total amount after Dinners in the Fees box.

Fees: Saturday dinners are $12/adult (12 and over); $6/child (under age 12).
