HOTELS/MOTELS abound in the Albany/Schenectady areas. Motels on Washington Avenue (near SUNY-Albany) and Wolf Road are convenient to the major highways. The SUNY web page lists accommodations which are very close to the I-90 & NY 85 intersection. For more suggestions, contact Sue Hawkes-Teeter, ( sueht AT nycap . rr . com ), (518) 872-1993 before 9 pm.

OTHER: Voorheesville has a great restaurant with delicious pizza called Smith's Tavern (Smitty's) on NY 85A (see area map). Major chain restaurants are located on Wolf Road (between exits 2 and 4 of the Northway/I-87). Crossgates Mall (on US 20 just W of I-87) and Colonie Center (intersection of NY 5 and Wolf Road) also have multiple dining opportunities.

Albany.com, in addition to accommodations, lists things to see and do in the Albany area.
